About the Role
The Key Account Manager – Merchant Payments will play a critical role in expanding Mixx by Yas’ merchant ecosystem by acquiring and managing high-value business clients across priority industries. The successful candidate will focus on increasing transaction volumes, strengthening merchant relationships, improving product adoption, and delivering innovative digital payment solutions that support business growth.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role requires balancing commercial performance with exceptional customer service while ensuring merchants receive efficient onboarding, ongoing support, and tailored payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead the acquisition of high-value merchants within sectors such as hospitality, supermarkets, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and fuel stations. The role involves promoting integrated payment solutions that increase transaction volumes and encourage wider adoption of the Mixx by Yas ecosystem.
Other responsibilities include managing an assigned portfolio of strategic merchants, monitoring business performance, improving merchant engagement, supporting onboarding and payment system configuration, coordinating with technical and operations teams to resolve service issues, and implementing retention strategies for valuable customers. The position also requires analyzing merchant performance data, identifying growth opportunities, preparing performance reports, and providing market insights that help improve products and customer experience.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or another related discipline. Candidates should also have 2 to 4 years of professional experience in merchant acquiring, key account management, sales, customer relationship management, or similar commercial roles.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive revenue growth while maintaining long-term client relationships. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to analyze business data and translate insights into practical strategies.
Candidates should also be highly organized, results-oriented, capable of solving problems efficiently, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment. Experience collaborating with multiple departments and managing competing priorities will be an added advantage.
