About the Position
Assistant Nursing Officers II play an important role in delivering quality nursing care and supporting healthcare teams in hospitals and other public health facilities. The position offers an opportunity to work directly with patients while promoting healthy communities through preventive healthcare services, patient education, and professional nursing practice.
Successful applicants will be expected to uphold high standards of patient care while contributing to the efficient delivery of health services within their assigned facilities.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will provide professional nursing services to patients while ensuring quality and compassionate care. They will assist in collecting and maintaining essential health information and statistics that support healthcare planning and decision-making.
In addition, they will supervise junior nursing staff where applicable, educate patients and communities on disease prevention and healthy living, support reproductive and preventive healthcare programs, and carry out other nursing-related duties assigned by their supervisors in line with their professional qualifications and experience.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Diploma in Nursing obtained from a government-recognized training institution. Candidates must also be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Tanzania (NMCT) and meet all professional requirements for practicing as a nurse in Tanzania.
