About the Role
The Manager – Digital Recovery will oversee the recovery of overdue, non-performing, and written-off loan accounts by implementing effective collection strategies and engaging customers to achieve sustainable repayment solutions. The role is critical in minimizing credit losses, improving portfolio quality, and supporting the bank’s financial performance through proactive debt recovery and risk management practices.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments, legal teams, and external recovery agents to ensure timely resolution of delinquent accounts while maintaining positive customer relationships where possible.

Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will monitor customer accounts that show early signs of financial distress, identify facilities that have exceeded approved limits or expired, and implement strategies to prevent accounts from becoming non-performing.
The role also involves negotiating repayment arrangements with customers, recommending loan restructuring or settlement options where appropriate, preparing management and regulatory reports, and ensuring compliance with the bank’s internal policies and applicable banking regulations.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating recovery activities for written-off accounts, supporting account write-off recommendations, managing external debt collection agencies, identifying cases requiring legal action, representing the bank during court proceedings and public auctions where necessary, and working with internal and external auditors to address audit findings related to credit recovery.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, or another related discipline from a recognized institution.
Candidates must have at least five (5) years of professional experience in credit risk management, debt recovery, loan collections, or a similar banking environment.
