About the Role
The Human Resource Business Partner will play a strategic role in aligning human resource practices with business objectives within GALCO Transport. Working in partnership with management, the successful candidate will support talent acquisition, performance management, employee development, organizational change, and industrial relations while ensuring that HR policies and initiatives contribute to business success.
This role is ideal for professionals with strong HR generalist experience who enjoy working closely with leaders to develop high-performing teams and improve employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the implementation of talent management initiatives by coordinating recruitment activities, facilitating employee onboarding, identifying development opportunities, and assisting managers in building high-performing teams. The role also involves maintaining talent data and supporting succession planning and workforce capability development.
In performance management, the HR Business Partner will guide managers through the performance review process, assist in setting meaningful employee objectives, coach leaders on conducting performance discussions, and promote consistent application of performance management practices across the business.
The position also requires supporting organizational development initiatives by assisting with change management activities, engaging stakeholders during transformation projects, identifying capability gaps, and contributing to workforce development strategies that strengthen employee performance and organizational effectiveness.
Additionally, the successful applicant will coordinate learning and development activities, maintain employee training records, monitor training effectiveness, support compensation and benefits administration, advise managers on labour relations matters, resolve employee relations issues, and promote employee engagement through continuous feedback and workplace improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or another related field.
Candidates must have at least five (5) years of experience in a generalist human resources role. Experience in labour relations and a sound understanding of Tanzanian labour legislation will be considered a significant advantage.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of talent management, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and organizational development. Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this position.
