About the Role
The Human Resource Manager will lead the bank’s human resource function by developing strategies that promote organizational growth, employee engagement, and operational efficiency. Working closely with senior management, the successful candidate will oversee talent acquisition, staff development, performance management, employee relations, and statutory compliance while ensuring that HR practices align with the bank’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing human resource strategies, reviewing HR policies, and supporting organizational development initiatives. The role also includes managing recruitment and onboarding processes, advising department managers on staffing matters, coordinating employee confirmations, transfers, and promotions, and ensuring effective workforce planning.
Additionally, the Human Resource Manager will oversee performance management systems by ensuring employees have clearly defined performance targets, coordinating staff training and development programs, and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
The position also involves managing employee welfare programs, resolving workplace grievances, administering disciplinary procedures, and maintaining positive industrial relations. The successful applicant will ensure compliance with Tanzanian labor laws by preparing statutory submissions, maintaining accurate HR records, and producing regular reports on workforce activities and HR performance.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or another related discipline from a recognized institution.
Candidates must have at least five (5) years of professional experience in human resource management, including a minimum of three (3) years in a senior HR leadership role. Previous experience in the banking industry or private sector will be considered a strong advantage.
